Our Baking Story

My passion for baking began in my grandmother's kitchen when I was a child. After retiring from my 25-year career as an educator in 2018, I founded my own bakery ~ Fort Mill Bakery ~ with the innocent dream of our daughter, who met "The Cake Boss" at age 10. We have 3 kids also. My youngest graduates from Catawba Ridge this spring. My other 2 are already in college, following their dreams. But it was my daughter's "dream" which furthered my passion for baking delicious treats that bring people together.
. . . Great food + love = family ...and it doesn't have to be mine, which is why I love creating desserts for you & yours! Most of our recipes have been passed down through generations and many of the recipes were shared with me by my grandmothers, who not only taught me what I know about baking, but the love put in it that brings others together. At Fort Mill Bakery, we keep innovating and creating new flavors and designs in every custom order. I am thankful that we continue to grow in every way each year, we are blessed to do so, by your continued support.

We proudly display our Grade A rating & Food Manager’s Certificate. It's proof that we follow the SC Department of Agriculture’s food safety protocols when we create our desserts. We'll continue doing things the right way. If we can't do it right, then we won't do it at all. That was my father's philosophy for life, and it's a good one to follow in all aspects.

Fort Mill Bakery has also prepared our
Seasonal Fall menu & Thanksgiving Dessert menu - both menus are now available to order your favorite fall desserts and treats! However, we are already booked with pre-orders for Thanksgiving. We appreciate the local support and stay tuned for our upcoming Christmas menu.
We are no longer accepting orders for
Thanksgiving so that we can focus on the orders already placed.
We ask for those who placed an order to read your invoice email carefully for any pick up instructions.
